Trade and commerce has been around since time immemorial. Places of trade may change, from rivers and ports during ancient times, now we have shopping malls and boutiques. Product has changed too, from crude hunting materials, now we have luxury items.
Payment methods have changed as well, before they probably used gold and gems as payments, then we used money and eventually credit cards aw well. But why do people tend to pay via credit card? Not only because it’s what celebrities are using in payment but it is ran easy way to pay. You no longer have to bring extra cash with you as you are guaranteed that in shopping a lot of establishments take credit cards as payment. Merchants have no choice but to keep up with their customers. If their store does not take credit cards, then their range of customers is limited, only to those who can pay in cash or those who prefer o pay in cash. One way of boosting a business income is to accept all modes of payment possible, that way, a lot of customers can be served, and a lot of income is generated.
If people pay in cash, you take it as it is being honored anywhere, if they pay by check, there are also stores that take it. Just as long as the check is fraud free. If they pay via credit cards, take it as well. As long as you have a merchant account with an affiliated bank, it surely won’t be a problem.
