Housing is expensive because government is tremendously involved in every aspect of land development and building codes. Education would be much better if the federal government would leave education decisions and funding to local authority and sources. Jobs? Are you kidding me? Government takes money from producers and uses it to hire bureaucrats who produce nothing but regulations and headaches. Government creates no profit and thus no capital to expand on its own – this is the fallacy of the Keynesian multiplier. And government healthcare is nothing short of a corrupt boondoggle to enslave the masses to a Master for simple survival.

Food is just as easy to produce as housing, education, jobs and healthcare – if only the government would get out of the way.

We are abject fools to neglect and regulate-away our commercial industrial base. You cite GM, Ford, Chrysler, Singer, NCR and IBM. Those were/are primarily non-defense manufacturing companies. They indeed were our strength.

2. Football is a HUGE departure from what Rugby ever was/is. Rugby is far more like soccer, but you can use your hands in the process. Both rugby and soccer have players milling around on the field passing the ball back and forth trying to advance the ball forward. American Football has far more strategy and tactical skill to it. Just listen to the offensive and defensive calls from an NFL game. It’s virtually a whole different language. The layman couldn’t even come close to understanding what is being said. Each offensive play is carefully chosen to match the defensive strategy. It’s more like chess on the field rather than players just running around for minutes on end kicking the ball back and forth and trying to score eventually.

3. Every sport in human history can probably be traced back, on a very fundamental level, to an earlier sport. For instance, several ancient cultures had a game where players ran around on a court and tried to throw a ball through a hoop located above them. Sound Familiar? A radical thought… but there comes a time (or there should come a time) when, for the sake of the greater good, drastic action must be taken to remove large groups of people who form the seed of hate in specific regions of the world; I am not saying which group should be removed… but sooner or later, somebody must make a decision on the removal of whatever group is the greatest obstacle to peace… another Hiroshima possibly, which would obviously affect a percentage of innocent people… don’t know really… but the world can no longer continue to deal with / negotiate with / pander to / please all the hateful groups at the same time! Especially when, already, large groups of innocent people continue to suffer for the sake of the minority of extremists causing all the chaos!! Doing nothing means large numbers of innocents continue to suffer; doing something may also mean large numbers of innocents suffer but some cleansing effect will benefit all!
