Foot orthotics and its Uses
Nowadays there are lots of health professionals who are using foot orthotics to treat a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions. These include podiatrists, physiotherapists, pedorthists, orthopaedic surgeons, osteopaths, chiropractors, sports physicians and biomehcanists just to name a few. To support the arch of the foot is the aim of the old fashioned foot orthotics. Now it is all about changing the angles between the joints and changing alignments of the bones in the foot. This is aimed at making the foot and the lower limb function more efficiently biomechanically. With a more efficient gait, then there is less chance of injuries fro structures being overloaded.
