There are many different commands you can teach your dog but one of the most important that most people either are not aware of or forget is whistle training techniques.  This involves teaching your dog to return to you solely based on you blowing a whistle. It can be challenging for your your dog since they usually are locating you based on hearing alone.  It may not seem to be an important skill to learn but if you have ever taken your dog walking in the forest and have them run off in order to chase down some small furry animal you know how useful this command can be.
