The Daily Mail Song
The UK has two styles of newspaper. The broadsheets are heavyweights – both in terms of journalism and actual weight, since they’re printed on enormous sheets of paper. Mind you, in recent years a couple of them have slimmed down, which makes them physcially easier to read, although they’re still serious newspapers.
There are also the tabloids – smaller papers that tend to have a more emotional way of reporting the news. Of those, the Daily Mail is probably the one that encourages the most hatred, blame and whinging. They wear the prejudices on their front page, so they appeal to a specific section of the population.
