Dog Owners Should Know
As dog owners may be well aware, the virus canine parvo virus or merely dog parvovirus only pose considerable threat to dogs who are on their puppy stages. They are the ones who are actually most susceptible to the disease because of their underdeveloped body systems, organs, and defenses. Due to these reasons they are also those that are susceptible to the damages the virus can do. Older dogs on the other hand can still incur the virus but be very resistant to its symptoms and effects in that it wouldn’t anymore pose harmful and fatal threats. They are not exempted from virus transmission though as they can still be very potent when it comes to the spreading the virus. For unknown reasons, Doberman Pinschers, Rottweilers and Pit Bull Terriers become more ill with this disease than other breeds.
