Getting Foster Kids Ready For School
I am a foster parent. My husband works most of the time and does not spend a whole lot of time with the kids. I usually have older children to care for. I got a young boy and girl last week for the summer or maybe longer. I want to get a good phonics reading program to work with them on. My husband will be taking part of the summer off and we need some quiet activities to keep the kids occupied and their minds off their problems. I want them to be prepared to go to school. Having trouble reading seems to be the number one issue that stops kids from doing well at school.
