Why Dad Loves Airsoft Guns
Growing up, I never understood my dad’s fascination with airsoft guns. I mean, they’re toy guns and he’s a grown man. To me it always kind of seemed like he should grow up a little bit. But then I learned the truth. My dad was a gun fanatic, but never really was fond of the whole danger associated with having real guns around little kids. So instead of indulging and risking our lives with his toys, he went with a safer version of the real thing.
After all, airsoft guns are just life-like representations of actual guns, and many of them even have a blowback feature to be more like the real thing. So in reality, when I was thinking less of my dad, he was doing it for me.
